Webinar: Toowoomba's growth modelling journey and what it means for Victorias
Updated: 4 days ago
Every Victorian council is now being asked to show its working, from Plan for Victoria housing targets to Infrastructure Contributions Plans and grant applications.
Join us online on Tuesday 17 November, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, to hear how Toowoomba Regional Council answered the same questions.
Josh Leddy, Strategic Infrastructure Planner at Toowoomba Regional Council, is a planner, not a modeller. He will share how parcel-level growth modelling helped the council support more than $165 million in grant applications, test policy before committing to it, and flag two wastewater plants reaching capacity ten years earlier than planned.
Kerry Doss, Queensland's former State Planner, will then share lessons from Queensland for Victorian councils. Forecaz CEO Bradley Rasmussen will close with a short look at Forecaz VIC, followed by open question time.
Who should attend: strategic, infrastructure and statutory planners, growth and contributions teams, and the managers who sign off on their work.
Council to Council: free online event Tuesday 17 November, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm AEDT, via Microsoft Teams |
